
TSU president, students and alumni pitch in to welcome new students
The class of 2020 at Texas Southern University (#TxSU2020) arrived on campus August 14 for move-in day. New Tigers and their parents were greeted by President Dr. Austin Lane, TSU alumni, and a host of students and student-athletes, who collaborated to help freshmen move into the University Towers, a new state-of-the-art living space.
The Freshman class will spend the next few days making their transition into collegiate life. Freshman Orientation begins on August 18.
A number of campus and campus-affiliated groups participated in the move-in: Collegiate 100 Black Men & Women, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Pre-Alumni Association, Newman Club-Catholic Student Organization, American Association of Airport Executives, Divine Unity 1, Baptist Student Ministry, Midwest Club, Pre-Health Professions Club, Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc., African Student Association, TSU Soccer Club, NAACP, Habitat For Humanity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., TSU Dance Company, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society, Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, TSU Pre-Law Society, Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Wesley Foundation, and the Office of Campus Organizations.
