I always here that word, but I wonder do people really know the meaning of that word.
Ever here people state, "I wish this or I wish that?"
For me, "Wishes Are Doing What You Really Hope To Do/Be". FAITH.
It is an oxymoron to say I wish You were not hungry and then do not try to give You anything to eat, feel me?
Even the Bible has a word on this come to think of it.
A vow is Deuteronomy 23:21-23
"When thou shalt vow a vow unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the Lord thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
*What You say if not done is directly against God and a lot of people don't realize that in everday life. Many people grow up and know about people not keeping their word or a significant other not coming through with what they said or promised etc.
I find that many people that have dealt with disappointment tend to be the ones that have the most difficulty keeping their words.
Remember the Bible places a lot of emphasis on what You say positive or negative. There is no neutral zone i.e. not following through.
Now things come up, but this is not where I am coming from.
Proverbs 3:27-28 talks about giving credit where due and not putting off.
Anyway, just my 2cents.
By the way, the Bible talks of how we all sin everyday and areas such as this can slip by all of us as it often does.
