All things work together for a reason, I saw the news about Author James Frey and his fraudelant work "Million Little Pieces", then I was like wow when I was watching the factor last night and Bill mentioned Bradenton while I was watching and then I shouted "what"!; when the name Deon Mathis came up and the father of the parent was being interviewd with his lawyer.
I went to school with Deon and his brother who are both over 6'6 inches tall. Deon works as an assistant teachers aide and even though we are not best friends or anything, I see him around when I am home and we speak.
He is accused of having s*xual relations with a female white student in a classroom. The father came to school a week later after being told and punched him in class in front of the students.
I was shocked and can't believe it all.
The father was given a father of the year award, commended on various radio stations and has received much fanfare, I thought to call home and find out the deal.
Anyway, Bill ripped him up about what if story is not true because of video cameras in room and the girl's story does not fit the timeline because Deon was not there.
I hope all truth comes out because of my love for youth and allthe youth I have worked with.
I hope this is not true. I have known and worked with quite a few guys who have served prison time for molestation, all black men verses all white, oh with the exception of one guy and it was his step daughter that attended the Boys and Girls club I worked at over a few summers while in college.
Anyway, it was a shock to me and I have sent another email to inquire about the "Great Debate Contest" and that Bradenton, FL I call my hometown and I know the alleged, but of course I would never sell anyone out for an opportunity, just mentioned for the coincidence.
