Veterans Housing & Career Fair
- Goal is for each homeless veteran to leave with housing & possible employment on that day -
- Sponsored by Alabama State University's Office of Career Services, Family Endeavors, Inc. & the Veterans Administration -

WHEN: Thursday, July 14, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
WHERE: ASU's J. Garrick Hardy Student Center Ballroom, South University Dr. (near the Acadome).

The goal of Thursday's Veteran's Housing & Career Fair is for each homeless veteran who attends the event to leave that day with his own housing and the possibility of gainful employment, which is a great goal for these men and women who put their lives on the line for America.

We invite you to join us and report on this important undertaking as Alabama State University's Office of Career Services joins forces with Family Endeavors, Inc. and the Veterans Administration to host this event at the ASU J. Garrick Hardy Student Center Ballroom from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The attendees will consists of various community landlords whose goal is to provide possible housing, as well as representatives from the Alabama Power Company, Alabama State University, Montgomery Housing Authority, Veteran's Administration, Family Endeavors employees and approximately 100 veterans.

Each time a veteran receives housing at the event, a symbolic "liberty bell" will be rung, announcing there is one less homeless veteran in the River Region.
