HBCUConnect.com and the Career Conferences Group
invite you to the
Twentieth Annual Careers 2006 Washington, DC
Recruitment Conference, to meet and interview with the outstanding
employers recruiting at this year's Conference. A list of employers
registered to date is provided at the end of this email. There is no cost
of any kind to attend Careers 2006 DC!
Even though it is another challenging job search year, the outstanding
employers participating in the Conference are anxious to meet and
interview you. They are seriously recruiting for existing and planned
openings, both full-time positions for graduating seniors and summer, 2006
internship opportunities for sophomores and juniors. Many reserve
openings to be filled with students they meet at the Conference. Careers
2006 DC is a very different kind of career event. How different?
Three major reasons can make a few hours at Careers 2006 as productive for
your job search as a month or more of campus interviewing:
1. PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS PAY A SIGNIFICANT FEE TO ATTEND AND WANT TO
GET RESULTS. You benefit from their investment because they are highly
motivated to extend second interview invitations and job offers to justify
their Conference participation.
2. PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS HIGHLY VALUE THE EFFORT YOU MAKE TO ATTEND
CAREERS 2006. Every employer seeks motivated self-starters, but campus
interviews don't require any extra effort to get to. The effort you make
to attend Careers 2006 New York is recognized and valued by employers and
sets you apart from other students who only interview with them on campus.
3. THE CAREERS 2006 STUDENT NETWORK SERVICE. This Service, available
only to students who attend Careers 2006, puts our entire network of
employer contacts at your disposal, and we will refer your resume to our
contacts at the employer(s) you wish at no charge to you. You will
receive additional information about the Service at the Conference.
The Conference will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building/International
Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C. - (202) 312-1384.
It will be located in Atrium Hall on the Concourse
Level. Conference hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm, with Student Registration
from 8:45am to 2:00pm (follow signs to the Student Registration area).
The Reagan Building is conveniently connected to the Federal
Triangle Metro stop, and is also within easy walking distance of both the
Metro Center and Smithsonian stops (

significantly enhance your job search. You are also welcome to share
