Texas Southern University Hosts Public Servant Night, Oct 1 (847 hits)

Texas Southern University will be hosting its first ever Public Servant Night when the Tigers host Alabama State on Thursday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium.  All active and retired public servants including fire fighters, law enforcement officers, members of the military, city and county employees, and employees from local area school districts will all be allowed complimentary admission into the game.

Upon presentation of the proper I.D. at the stadium ticket office on game night, these individuals will be allowed one general admission complimentary ticket into the game.  If the public servant is accompanied by a guest, they will be able to purchase a discounted ticket for $5.  All remaining general admission tickets will be discounted from $18 to $10.  Tickets for reserved seating is available from $25 to $53.

“This is just a small way for TSU to honor our public servants for their service they provide and the many challenges they face on our behalf each and every day in our community.  We want to give back to those who dedicate their lives to public service,” said TSU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Charles McClelland.  “What better way of showing our appreciation than by allowing them to get into a game at no cost.  These individuals deserve our appreciation, not just on October 1, but throughout the entire year.”
