Alcorn’s WPRL-FM radio station will cover SWAC Media Day 2015 (1149 hits)


Alcorn State University’s radio station, WPRL 91.7 FM, is gearing up for coverage of one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s biggest annual events.

The radio station will be reporting live from the Southwestern Athletic Conference Media Day 2015 Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama. The broadcast will include interviews from SWAC players, coaches and the conference’s commissioner Duer Sharp. WPRL 91.7 FM’s sports director and operational manager Charles Edmond will host the live broadcast.

WPRL 91.7 FM is a 3,000-watt FM public radio station that is licensed to Alcorn State University. WPRL started transmitting in 1987. As of today, it serves more than 30,000 listeners in Southwest Mississippi and Louisiana.
