Texas Southern University to Celebrate Former NFL Stars in Homecoming Tribute (1148 hits)

The Texas Southern University football program is steeped in a rich collegiate tradition. The Mighty Tigers of TSU have produced All-Conference and All-American players, and conference and national championship teams. A slew of Tiger athletes have played in the National Football League - some of whom have reached the pinnacle of football success by winning Super Bowl championships and being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Texas Southern University is paying tribute to these legends of the gridiron with a grand celebration: Tigers in the NFL – A First and Goal Celebration on Friday, October 23, 2015. This event is in conjunction with TSU’s 2015 Homecoming Weekend.

Tigers in the NFL– A First and Goal Celebration will bring home some of the most recognizable names in TSU football history. Winston Hill (New York Jets), Kenny Burrough (Houston Oilers), Lloyd Mumphord (the undefeated 1972 Super Bowl Champion Miami Dolphins), Brett Maxie (New Orleans Saints) and Michael Strahan (the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants) are a few TSU legends who will return to their alma mater for this once-in-a-lifetime honor.

You don’t want to miss this exciting evening with our NFL alumni as they relive their glory days and inspire the next generation of TSU athletes. Discounted tickets are on sale now. Sponsorship packages are available ranging from $5,000 to $50,000.
