Tom Joyner said,
'No one who is successful in this life did it on his or her own.'
This is so true.
Another thing is that I hear some people say it's who you know that helps you to be successful and not what you know. Why do people make that so important instead of what they know. It's valid to a certian extent, but I disagree. This saying is the other way around. This statement makes me feel that the knowledge I know is invalid and is done only in vain.
It is what you know that brings people to know you. Your knowledge, gifts and talents speaks for itself. People will respect you for what you know and do. ( I wish people could see it from this perspective even though this is not an idealistic world)
Think of a young girl in school who was known as "the quiet girl". She wasn't popular like the other girls in her class, but she was very smart. She entered the school's spelling bee and won. Now everyone knows that she is smart and wants to befriend her, sometimes for the right and wrong reasons.
Also think of Jesus and how even though he was the son of God people (except the desciples whom he chosen) did not acknowledge him until he started doing miracles; that when many began to follow him.
This is just something I wanted to get off my chest.
Everybody needs somebody sometimes(Frank Sinatra). Ofcourse we can't be successful without the aid of another. It started since the day we were born with our mother helping us when we couldn't help ourselves.
Tell me how you feel about this. I am open to different point of views.
Thank you for reading and God Bless.
