At Mascher and Champlost Street in the Olney Section of Philadelphia our Brother " Hamza" Gregory Portterfield the Muezzin at Masjid Muhammad on Penn Street in the Germantown section was SHOT DOWN IN THE STREET SIX TIMES by two Philadelphia Polices officers. There are several accounts of what happened but, none of the stories make sense. Brother Hamza was pulled over because his GMC Denali light in the back was out by the police officer and within minutes Brother Hamza was SHOT SIX TIMES. He is now in critical condition at Albert Einstein Hospital located at 5501 Old York Road Philadelphia Pa 19144 (215) 456-7890 and the Police are not allowing him to have any visitors. Brother Hamza has a very good reputation and we as a community need OUR IMAMS to make a call out to find out what really happened. The call out should have been made on Wednesday but, somehow it did not happen. We can not stand to lose an another brother to Police Brutality. Can you forward this message to every Muslim that you know so, we can get the truth.

Imam Sueiwdeen is on top of situation and he already has spoke to Commission Ross, and Sylvester Johnson who are both friends of the Muslim community. Mr. Johnson who was our former police commissioner for 8 years is Muslim. We need too collectively send strong duas to Allah for Hamza recovery and protection. His wife has a lawyer on top of situation. Prayers are powerful, especially during this Holy month of Ramadan.
