Baltimore native James Carter ran track for Hampton University
Hampton alum James Carter made his second trip to the Olympic Games as the top US qualifer in the trials.
Carter qualified for the US Team in 2000 and was runner-up in this year's US Indoor Championships. The 1999 MEAC Champion finished fourth in the Sydney Games, just missing a medal.
