Buck Fush (1064 hits)

Column I wrote for The Gramblinite this week...

Ah…the American public finally starting to see what we, the Blacks, have seen for the longest. Yep…Bush is full of it. Maybe that’s a little too strong, but it’s cool. Someone has to say it.
Now, I applauded Bush some time ago when I saw the images of the Iraqis celebrating. Credit given when credit is due. However, his handling of the Hurricane Katrina response and other things has led me to know that he is not worthy of being our President.
I’m sure some of the few Republicans out there may put this down, but the ones that care are still reading. Remember when tuition started going up and we were complaining because we were the main ones suffering? Well, I just remembered that Bush actually cut some funding of the HBCUs in his first term. That’s pretty much when the tuition started being raised every semester.
Of course, Bush could rebut it with a “rising inflation” technique, but that won’t cut it against a seasoned debater like me. Bush also offered tax cuts…for the rich. Now, it was supposed to “help” the poor (or Blacks as Bush calls them), but it has actually hurt us more than ever. So many people are poor that it’s ridiculous. I’m already in debt due to loans and a job is not even guaranteed for me when I get out school. Four years of college and four years of building debt…for what? A minimum wage job? As Jay-Z said, “N---- please.”
Sure, Bush has donated a lot of money to the relief fund. No, wait. Sure the government has donated a lot of money to the relief fund, but what has Bush himself done? Right…nothing. Coming down to the “devastated areas,” mainly Mississippi and Texas (when was Texas hit by a hurricane?), does not cut it. I want to actually see Bush out there digging in the ground, clearing trees, driving bulldozers, painting walls, and other things that the REAL Americans are doing to help out everyone.
We went to war with Afghanistan…and now we’re in Iraq. Does anyone see that as a problem? Apparently, mainstream media doesn’t because that’s a question that’s rarely, if ever, asked. How did we go from Osama bin Laden to Sadaam Hussein? I don’t know, but I kind of agree with Eminem in the song Mosh. “No more blood for oil…”
Let’s face it people: we have a dumb President. Let me tell you what he said. “Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott’s house — he’s lost his entire house — there’s going to be a fantastic house. And I’m looking forward to sitting on the porch.” Um…Bush, we have millions of people without a home and you’re worried about a rich politician rebuilding his home? What a great show of respect to everyone! (sarcastic).
So here’s my official stand on the whole thing: impeach Bush. If we can “impeach” Clinton for nothing, we can impeach Bush for something. I agree with Angela Davis when she said, “George Bush should be impeached.”
