Why I speak out Mega-Churches???????? (214 hits)

This was a message that was sent to me.
This is why I spoke out before hand, it was what I knew.

Message:
just want to relay this message just in case one or two person are wondering about Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and SonLife Radio.

We deeply appreciate everyone's concern of how the Ministry's employees and property endured Hurricane Katrina this past week.

All Ministry employees are safe and well.

The property sustained some roof damage and the grounds are littered with downed limbs, but other than this relatively minor damage, we're OK.

SonLife Radio never went off the air during this storm and is now broadcastiing current Baton Rouge area news events as they happen.

Please tune in to SonLife Radio to hear the latest conditions.

Frances Swaggart

No empathy, addressing the issues etc. Concerned for church and those that bring in the finances.

Case closed.

For Mr. Cambridge Jenkinks IV:
I do this in my Bible and in my writings. My measure of respect for "God". That is my way of Highlighting "Him". Also many times in the Bible one can get confused between him, "Him", he, "He" etc. This makes it easier and is a habit of my studies. I hate to see "God" not capitalized like in some daily bread radings in which I know disrespect ios not meant.

Appreciate the time and comments Bro.
So true of what you say.
I appreciate the fact that I mean not all mega-Churches but those that are at fault.
Why are they not adding $$$$ from their own 100+ Million they take into their ministries each month? The original intent of tithes was to be used as needed for people. The original disciples took no bag or anything. Much money goes to administrative costs, luxuries etc. This hads been well documented. Of course not all, but where the shoe fits.......
Creflo had his Church buy him a Rolls Royce on top of his huge salary. I'm noty against a car and gofts for a minister but a Rolls Royce, but asking people to give their last who make much less???
But I am on the outside looking in, just trying to be fair. "Jesus" had no house, anyway...
Nothing wrong with nice things, but I don't know where the limit is and then many people attach on to them to make Money. I remember a Bible class I visited. I raised my hand as I normally do. I did not know they were taping the class to sell for profit, this was on a Fri night. Or the selling of bagels in the parking lot, I am not even sure if a bookstore should be operating on a Sun at a Church, but......
We all have our views.
I can go on and on, but appreciate your time bro.
Take care and keep up the good work. We need young men to take the lead. This was sorely lacking for many and has been since the days of civil rights.

Hey Sis: Bush also had black gospel groups to sing for him and I know you already know about Condaleeeza Rice. Nice to see young folk are not blinded. Bush has a smoke screen up to cover for his apathy. The media that is used for negative has been turned against him. Shepherd Smith the white media guy was on the David Letterman show. He stayed with those black folk that were trapped on the bridge. He voiced his outrage towards everyone that left people to die. I commend that man for that. If not for him, a lot of truth's wopuld not be as exposed as they are.
This is the same dance and jig they got they got black folk to do to hood wink many. My message to T.D. who I really honestly like is, "It is better to have a GOOD NAME, than riches". That is in Proverbs. One thing people can always say about me whether you like me or not, I am a Man that sticks to his guns and never sell people out no matter how many times I have been betrayed in life. I stick with those who have suffered and died. It may cost me, but "God" has my back in telling the truth. My father is a Republican, my mother does not like black folk. My father is already defending, I clash with him in telling the truth and if he gets in the way of the truth, he'll get some to repsectfully. Long story. Hope not blowing your ears up! Lol! I have to be honest, when I first started reading your message, I was like oh no! Not another one defending them.
Sis always remember that actions show past the words and results shows. The action was the apathy and the results are all those dead people and people who have lost all when everyone in Gov't knew. There ws even a report that is so eery, in 2002 they interviewed the guy that wrote a report that described eveything that has happened.
Keep real and deep Sis.
I commend you and it is a honor and pleasure to make your acquaintance. We need more voices to drown out all those token's out there that I have always said hurts us as a people more than anything, hey Colin Powell was the main catalyst that led us to war. Even he resigned because his soul troubles him

p.s. Seems like when one is bold and courageous enough to stake a claim on the truth, the whole world seems against. That is scripture you know and an indicator of what is real, right or wrong. When everyone agrees with you, many times something has went astray. I hate saying that in some people I look up to.
Hopefully T.D. and Kip are doing the right thing by not covering up what amounts to racism. My minister preached about compassion and one mind. Compassion and one mind ("God") would not have let those people suffer torments that will cause psychological problems for lifetimes. Hopefully T.D. in his messages will tell the truth but still bring people together, give them strength but via the "Lord" only.
