It used to be beautiful, at least that's how Harold Cobb remembers the cemetery.
It has been years - decades, probably - since Cobb has visited the graves of his relatives buried near South Scales Street and Freeway Drive in the Little Salem Christian Church Cemetery.
But what he does remember is the care his grandfather took in constructing a grave maker for a relative who is buried there. "It was something," he said.
Cobb was one of about a dozen people who attended a news conference Friday at the Universal Mind Books and Gift store in Reidsville to hear a local African American group talk about the graveyard - more specifically, why they want that cemetery left alone.
