The Role

As Nurse Manager, you will provideformal nursing leadershipacross multiple ambulatory specialty clinics, including Infectious Disease and Pulmonary services. These clinics care for patients with conditions ranging from common diagnoses tohighly complex, chronic, and immunocompromised populations, requiring thoughtful coordination, operational discipline, and strong interdisciplinary relationships.

In this role, an average day includes:

  • Leading experienced nursing and support teams in fastpaced ambulatory specialty settings
  • Providingdirect people leadership, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and professional development
  • Overseeingmulticlinic operations, staffing models, and resource allocation in a constrained environment
  • Partnering closely withphysicians and advanced practice providersto balance access, quality, and competing clinical priorities
  • Supportingaccredited and regulatorydriven programs, ensuring sustained readiness and compliance
  • Navigating conflict and complex interpersonal dynamics with professionalism and emotional intelligence

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire.

Experience: 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required.

Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Virginia Drivers license required for managers with responsibility operations in multiple locations. Must have applicable specialty certification at hire or within 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred

  • Strong experience inconflict management

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement training or certification

  • Experience leadingaccredited clinical programs

  • Established nurse leadership experience is essential

  • Ambulatory care experience needed,and Inpatient experience strongly desired

  • Demonstrated ability to lead inresourceconstrained environmentsand collaborate effectively with physicians and providers

  • Experience overseeingmultiple clinics or complex service lines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The starting base rate for this role is $104,062.40 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
