Manager, Finance Transformation
FINANCE MANAGER GDIT is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Finance Transformation team as a Manager focused on business process improvement, AI enablement, and intelligent automation. This role is ideal for someone who understands how finance organizations operate, is comfortable navigating complex workflows, and brings strong communication and changemanagement skills. While a technical foundation is important, we arent looking for an IT specialist; rather, we need someone who can bridge the gap between financial logic and modern automation tools. You will play a key role in modernizing financial processes, supporting automation initiatives, and partnering across teams to drive meaningful operational improvements. This hybrid role is based in Falls Church, VA, with inoffice engagement three days per weekMEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT What Youll Do Drive Financial Process Improvement Analyze existing Finance workflows to identify manual steps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for simplification. Work directly with Departmental Champions to prioritize process improvements based on operational impact. Help design futurestate processes that align with enterprise standards and support scalable automation. Enable AI & Intelligent Automation Partner with the CIOs AI & Data team to shape and refine AI assistants used across Finance. Translate business pain points into practical automation use cases. Guide teams on how to adopt emerging AI capabilities safely and effectively. Shape the Automation Roadmap Evaluate automation and AI requests by considering ROI, feasibility, data readiness, and operational impact. Maintain a transparent, prioritized roadmap that Finance leadership can confidently execute against. Turn Business Needs into Actionable Requirements Work with Finance teams to understand their workflows, challenges, and desired outcomes. Convert process insights into clear, structured requirements for technical implementation teams. Communicate across Finance, Champions, and CIO partners to ensure alignment and progress. Lead and Strengthen the Champions Network Mentor and support departmental Champions as they identify opportunities and adopt automation within their teams. Establish feedback loops between Champions, functional leaders, and the transformation team. Support a culture of continuous improvement across Finance. WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your finance expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Finance Manager must have:Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceExperience: 5+ years of related experienceStrong understanding of how finance organizations operate, including processes, handoffs, and pain points.Data Analytics experience.
