Payroll Examiner 1, Full-time, Permanent
The Payroll Examiner 1 works in the Office of Human Resources, performing the full range of payroll processing tasks and activities.
In order to maintain a welcoming environment for prospective students, students, community members, and visiting university staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Process tax forms, direct deposits, deductions and miscellaneous payments
- Review and process time records for temporary hourly and college work study employees
- Review and update leave accruals for adjunct faculty
- Assist in processing salary transactions for adjunct faculty
- Respond to request for employment verifications
- Run payroll queries and reports
- Provide excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries
- Actively participate in university activities
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the appropriate Civil Service eligible list for the title;
OR
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in this title and eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law;
Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 4:30pm
Work Address: 2 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY
Additional Information:
Salary: SG-12 $50,425 - $61,548
