Cloud Services Project Lead
Advance the Mission. Empower the Future As aCloud Services Project Lead, you will provide leadership and oversight for enterprise cloud transformation initiatives across hybrid and multi-cloud environments supportingDepartment of War missions. You will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of cloud programs while ensuring alignment withDoW cybersecurity, acquisition, and enterprise IT governance frameworks. This role combines program leadership with deep technical understanding, emphasizing DevSecOps, DoW Cloud (e.g., Impact Level (IL)-compliant environments), and mission assurance. Required CertificationsProject Management Professional (PMP) fromProject Management Institute (PMI).One or more cloud certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or ProfessionalMicrosoft Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Azure Solutions Architect ExpertOracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate or Professional Preferred / Advanced CertificationsDoW 8570/8140 compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute.SCRUM Master Certification.Certified Cloud Security Professional.ITIL 4 Foundation.Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). What Youll Do:Lead execution of enterprise cloud initiatives acrossIaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Kubernetes-based platformswithin DoW environments.Serve as the primary project lead coordinating across engineering teams, cybersecurity, acquisition, and mission stakeholders.Develop and maintainIntegrated Master Schedules (IMS), risk registers, and dependency tracking artifacts aligned to DoW program management practices.Drive adoption ofDevSecOps pipelinesusing tools such asTerraform,GitHub Actions,AWS/Azure DevOps, andJenkins.LeadAuthority to Operate (ATO)lifecycle activities under theRisk Management Framework, including control implementation, evidence generation, and continuous monitoring.Ensure compliance with DoW security requirements including:DoW Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide(IL2IL6)Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation GuidesManage vendor performance across SLAs, KPIs, and security requirements inDoW -authorized cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, etc.).Support DoW acquisition processes, includingrequirements definition, market research, and evaluation of cloud service providers.Deliver executive-level reporting to DoW leadership on program status, risks, cybersecurity posture, and mission impact.Coordinateapplication modernization and migration efforts, including microservices, APIs, and mission system integration. Required Skills & Qualifications:10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including:5+ years managingcloud or large-scale DoW IT programsExperience supportingDoW or IC environmentsDemonstrated experience with:DoW cloud environments (e.g., GovCloud, IL-compliant systems)Risk Management Frameworkprocesses and ATO lifecycleDoW security controls (STIGs, SRG, NIST 800-53 overlays)Proven leadership of cross-functional teams.Experience withDevSecOps implementation and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity withcontainerization and Kubernetes platforms.Experience supportingcontinuous monitoring and cybersecurity compliance.Strong project management expertise aligned with DoW environments.Excellent communication skills.Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in mission-critical environments.Strong understanding ofcloud integration and system architectures.Experience in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and hybrid DoW delivery models.Ability to align cloud capabilities withmission assurance and operational readiness. Location: Springfield, VA (Onsite). Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI required. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required. Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in systems administrator, engineering, and integration supporting large-scale system sustainability. 5+ years of related DoW, Military, or US Government related experience.
