This role involves coordinating and supporting a range of academic and logistical activities to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience for all students.</span></span><span style="color: #333333; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; line-height: 115%"></span></font><p> </p><p><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2"><h4>Duties & Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Support online instruction<ul><li>Train instructors on all aspects of online course preparation to ensure smooth course operations and delivery of each course offering.</li><li>Maintain training records and ensure that all online instructors follow College policy.</li><li>Train and support instructors in the use of instructional technologies, including Canvas, Zoom, Kaltura, and others.</li><li>Resolve support requests from faculty and staff as needed during course delivery for issues related to course management.</li><li>Develop and maintain a detailed record of all AHS Online courses, including operational processes, course offering schedules, revision and update schedules, and other logistical considerations.</li><li>Develop online tutorials, technical documentation, training sessions, and related web content for online instructional strategies.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Support accessibility and quality control initiatives<ul><li>Ensure high quality online instruction by copyediting and reviewing all online courses for content, functionality, alignment with appropriate style guides, quality standards, and universal design for learning principles.</li><li>Track all improvements and corrections needed for online courses and work with AHS team members to ensure timely and consistent completion of these tasks.</li><li>Ensure compliance in digital accessibility, licensing, and copyright laws and regulations.</li></ul></li></ul><h4><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Minimum Qualifications</font></span></h4><ul style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; font-family: "Segoe UI", Tahoma, Geneva, Verdana, sans-serif; list-style-type: upper-alpha"><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Master's degree in education, educational psychology, or the humanities such as history, political science, literature, journalism, communications, or philosophy<br>AND<br><u><strong style="font-weight: bold">Six (6) months</strong></u> of experience which includes any of the following areas professional writing or editing, audiovisual design and/or production, design and/or production of evaluation tools, educational programming, curriculum development, or classroom teaching<br></font></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2"><span style="white-space: pre; font-family: Arial"> </span>OR<br></font></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Baccalaureate degree in education, educational psychology, or the humanities<br>AND<br><u><strong style="font-weight: bold">Eighteen (18) months</strong></u> of experience which included any of the following areas professional writing or editing, audiovisual design and/or production, design and/or production of evaluation tools, educational programming, curriculum development, or classroom teaching</font></span></li></ul><h4><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2"> Preferred Qualifications</font></span></h4><ul><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Experience with learning management systems and technology tools such Canvas, Zoom and Kaltura.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Experience leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Online teaching experience.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Experience working directly with faculty in higher education.</font></span></li></ul><h4><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</font></span></h4><ul><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, and staff.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">A strong commitment to student success and fostering an inclusive, meaningful, and supportive learning environment.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: Arial"><font size="2">Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.</font></span></li></ul></font></span></p><h4>Appointment Information</h4><p><font size="2">This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 3289 - Instructional Development Specialist position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/8/2026.
