Coach Timothy Chavous a Florida native, started playing football at the age of 6, and never looked backed. He started his football career at Lakewood high school in Saint Petersburg, FL where he was a 4 year starting running back and linebacker on varsity making all-county at the linebacker position. Coach Chavous was highly recruited out of high school to play at the next level; he decided to attend Pasadena City College in Pasadena, CA for 2 years then transferred to Bethune Cookman University where he was a standout running back and member of the 2002 MECA Championship Football team. Coach Chavous was also a member of Bethune Cookman University’s baseball team in 2001-2002. Coach Chavous graduated from Bethune Cookman University with honors receiving his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a minor in Recreation in May 2002.
Coach Chavous returned to the football sidelines for his ninth year as the Running Backs coach of Saint Paul’s College Football team and second year as Head Baseball coach. He coached the SPC running backs in 2003 during his first stint with the Tigers. He went to Saint Paul’s College by the way of Virginia State University, where he served as the Head Running Backs coach and Assistant to the Offensive Coordinator for 1 season fall 2002.
