Reflections of "Us" Greeting Cards has decided to create a card in honor of our bright, beautiful sistas of the Rutgers University Basketball Team as well as celebrate the majestic and wondrous image of all Black Women.
Our company was created to dispel the myths and sterotypes that plague the black community regarding our women, children and men and to document, embrace and glorify our culture, image and heritage.
ROU was created so that we can see our daily stories, our strong black men, our beautiful brown women, our sweet chocolate children, our faithful bronzed grandmothers and our love of life blink back at us when sending our message of love, hope and encouragement to those we love.
Our greeting cards reflect real people, real lives, a real me and you.
We need to show the world as well as our own children that our little girls walk in fields of flowers wearing sweet sun hats. Our little boys pull classic red wagons wearing timeless overalls. Our men hold their daughter's hands while walking in the park at dusk. Our women wear skirts swaying in the wind while standing in a field of wheat. Our mothers sit at lakeside park benches basking in a moment of tranquillity. Our children display moments of affection with sweet kisses, gentle embraces and toothy smiles that melt your heart .
Reflections of "Us" was created so that we can be proud of the reflection of our own image.
Obviously, from what has recently transpired in the news our mission has just begun.
