School vouchers have been billed as programs that provide families with greater educational choices — this is far from the truth. School vouchers divert public dollars away from public schools, decreasing academic outcomes, deepening inequities, and skirting accountability guardrails.

CASA, an immigrant advocacy organization, has called out Baltimore Public Schools and the state Department of Education to clarify their policies on how schools interact with immigration services.
CASA stepped in after an Overlea High School Teacher allegedly offered to give Immigration and Customs Enforcement identifying information of 50 students who left school to attend an immigration rally in a social media post.
