Hello HBCU leaders,
Revered Richard W. Wills, Sr. cordially invites you and your students to attend a FREE III Part Symposium titled “The Perils and Promises of Historical Black Colleges and Universities” at Providence Missionary Baptist Church located at 2295 Benjamin E. Mays Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA.
All across the United States, historical black colleges and universities are facing unprecedented challenges compared to other universities. For more than 150 years these institutions have been the foundation for African American students.
Dr. W. Kevin Dancy, Forum Ministry Chair, hope you will show your support by attending the first of a three part symposium to address how HBCUs can compete and become financially sound in a turbulent, unstable environment. With Federal dollars and student enrollment decreasing this symposium will be candid open professional discussions on the rich history, the current situation and the future of our legacy institutions and will end with an urgent call to action from all community leaders.
