AUSL's Chicago Teacher Residency

As an AUSL resident teacher, you will have opportunities every day to make a difference in the lives of your students. You will be a trusted adult role model working to empower your students to achieve their dreams. Join a network of committed educators with the same goal: to provide all of Chicago's students with a quality education.

Program Overview
  • Learn strategies that will help you grow as a teacher. Train for a year in a supportive environment, and receive regular, structured feedback from an experienced mentor teacher.
  • Teach in an environment that maximizes your impact with a school culture and climate that supports high expectations for all. Deliver high-quality instruction and create a culture of excellence in your classroom and school.
  • Inspire your students to achieve their dreams and transform educational outcomes. Go on to become a CPS teacher, trusted mentor, and effective school leader.
