I've been on the road the past two weeks, and it's good to be back. I started my little personal two week tour off at the CIAA basketball tourney in Raleigh, NC. Raleigh knows how to party! P-Diddy came down and hosted a big bash downtown. There were also alumni chapters who were throwin down all over town into all hours of the morning.
We left Raleigh, came home to Ohio and got a couple of winks of sleep and traveled to Richmond, VA, for the MEAC tourney. Richmond was pretty hype, but I think this year Raleigh definitely scores higher. (In my book)
We left Raleigh and went to Philly to meet with the upperclassmen from Cheyney University. We rode with them up to BET in NYC for a taping of 106 & Park. (AJ & Free) That trip alone was worth it, just to get the chance to meet Free. Like WHOA! THA Truth! The show aired last Monday, the 14th.
Then we took the kids over to Justin's to have dinner and Abina and the staff at Justin's took great care of us and the food was "Blaize" (happens to be Abina's last name)! All I can say is that JUSTIN's in NYC is for real! Blackened catfish, black-eyed peas and rice, blah, blah, blah. Mmmmmmm...
We go back to BET's 106 and Park on Monday and the show will air in the afternoon, evening and then the following morning - check your local listings!
I can't forget DTP(Disturbing Tha Peace) and my homies Derek and Goose for coming through with the promo materials. The kids loved it and i can't wait to work with you guys in the future. Keep it coming.
