The name Scracthylus has been popping up everywhere. On radio, television, show line up and in magazines. This is not just locally (in Jamaica) but also on an international scale (Germany, UK, Gambia and other countries).

But who is Scratchylus?
Scratchylus is a reggae artiste who was is of Jamaican parentage but was born in England. His musical journey began in England in the 1990s. After working on various sound systems for a period of time he decided to go into the recording studio. After years of hard work Scratchylus now seems to be reaping his reward. He has been to lots of places making his mark as he trods through the earth. He has met with the president of Gambia, His Excellency President Yaya Jammeh along with his ministers. Scratchylus perfomed for over 35,000 fans, on stage with other well known artiste such as Sizzla, Luciano, Bushman and Mikey General.

The unique way in which Scratchylus adorns himself depicts the Rastafarian way of life that he has chosen. The Rastafarian way of life is full of love. This love we can see flowing from Scratchylus in the way he looks out for the younger generations. His singles such as “I Hear The Children Cry”, ”Reset The Mindset” and “Dem Can’t Visit Di Frontline” are his way of reaching out to save our children. He also visit various schools and colleges to try to encourage the youth and steer them to the right path.

Singles such as ‘Mama Africa And Her Child’, ‘Our Story’, ‘Reset The Mindset’, ‘A True’ and ‘Dem Can’t Visit Di Frontline’-featuring Singer Junior Reid, can be regularly heard on well known radio stations in Jamaica. The single ‘Our Story’ features Sizzla Kalonji and Scratchylus’ own daughter Empress Reggae. Empress Reggae is a perfect example that our children can thrive in the right educational environment. She has never been to school.

Empress Reggae was taught at home by her mother and father with the help of some librarians. She has already been on many stage shows and radio stations along side her father in the single ‘our Story’.
