My name is Randa Brownlee and I am hosting College Week 2005 next month at Sunnyside Baptist Church. I am writing you this letter to solicit your help and participation.
I believe that there is nothing like the Black College Experience. I am a 2001 graduate of Fisk University and I am truly grateful for the experience. I took so much from the experience that has been monumental in my life as I strive to become a successful, strong black woman. I could go on and on about all of the lessons learned regarding life, relationships and myself but that is not my purpose.
On Thursday, November 10, is my HBCU night. I am inviting you to represent your Alma Mater and share with the people what your Black College Experience meant to you. As Alumni it is up to us to build morale and encourage prospective students to attend our schools. I for one believe that attending Fisk University was one of the best decisions that I ever made. The experience cultivated who I am today and striving to be.
Enclosed please find the week’s agenda and my mission and vision. I hope that you will take part in this great endeavor. Please email me for more info if you care to be involved.
Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you soon.
Peace and Blessings…
