McCain/Palin Spur Hate Crime? - Just Sayin - October 12, 2008
Up front, we want you to know it was our intention today to rattle all the rotting skeletons in the closets of the GOP ticket that Barack Obama has elected not to share. It still is. We dug long and deep. We even sought out Delores Williams, a popular anti-Obama Blogger, to insure the other side had some voice. We also planned three provocative articles on domestic violence, and Jessica Angelique, Emmanuel Brown and Ta'Nisha G. aka Big_Juisee have poured out their hearts. However, something happened Friday, in a small Texas town that cast its ugly color on our efforts.
Friday, a 16-year-old African American male was beaten, kicked and robbed in a church parking lot, with-in 15 minutes of closing time. His cries for help went unanswered. His attackers are described as three Caucasian males between the ages of 18 and 20. They all wore boots and t-shirts emblazoned with the Confederate flag. The young man, who wishes to remain anonymous, reports he was repeatedly called Ni**** and told he didn’t belong in Texas or America. The fear, pain and disillusionment in his eyes are testament to childhood’s cruel end. His mother says the avid skateboarder and roller blade enthusiast doesn’t even want to go outside.
There has not been an incidence of a hate crime in this Texas town in at least 5 years, and the attack appears a direct outgrowth of the tactics employed by the McCain/Palin campaign. A campaign so rife with lies and incendiary fear mongering the candidate himself has had to back pedal.
