ONE, TWO, THREE (UUGH!): BIPOLAR EXERCISES THAT WORK!
Would you believe that exercising regularly does in fact help manage the brain disorder, Bipolar?
Yes, when you consider the level of anxiety increased by having this brain disorder, I learned the significance of exercising regularly. I imagine after a week of classes and work and life, Fridays become like an over-drawn bank account as far as stress goes. Stress is produced by brain chemicals, too.
So, what I discovered is to keep exercise a part of my wellness plan even when I did not want to. It has made the difference so many times in my ability to rest and sleep. Those are extremely important!
Ok, so I have two main exercises I do that work for me. One is that I love, love to walk. I will walk at least a half hour a day and I try to do so all year long. Two, I love to swim and I try to do this during the really cold months when I cannot walk. (It's hard to walk in the snow, smile).
What exercises do you love to do? Guess what, they can be bipolar exercises, too. Whola!
Today I wish you would take a nice walk through your community even though you feel depressed and especially if you feel energetic. Think you can talk to God while you walk?
