Announcing the launch of Black "Single" Women Connect

C. Joyce Farrar-Rosemon · Friday, August 15th 2008 at 10:57PM · 3592 views
Black Single Women Connect is here to empower readers, in particular African American women to achieve their life goals. Statistics show that 70% of African American women are single and that the leading cause of death among Black women aged 25-34 is HIV/AIDS. These are our baby carriers of the next generation, dying from a tragedy that is preventable here in the Western world!

In other categories we are over represented as well- high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, single parenthood, prison, unemployment etc.

This site is an open forum that the author attempts to give unbiased advice from a Christian perspective. Questions about business, career, relationships, marriage and s*x (yes, I did say s*x) are welcome.

My mission is to empower the reader to achieve their life goals and experience "shalom", the Hebrew word for nothing missing and nothing broken in one's life.

Successful mature women who have weathered the storms of life are in particular encouraged to voice their opinion and offer online advice.

Feel free to share any resources, workshops, job opportunities that will enable others to accomplish their dreams. I don't know all the answers, but I know there is strength in unity. Remember it takes a village to raise a family! Check out this new online support group at www.blacksinglewomenconnect.com

We are blessed to be a blessing!
Joyce
