Okay, so I'm NOT a recent high school grad. But, that doesn't mean I don't want to be shown some love.
I'm a little nervous...even a little frightened by the prospect of being an 'old school' student surrounded by those of you with SO much energy!!!(lol)
Yes, my dream of finishing college was deferred. However, I hold on to the words of the legendary schoolmaster, Benjamin E. Mays, 'the tragedy in life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.' Don't be shy...at least sign my guest book!

Never be ashamed that you are striving to better yourself!

Hey...don't ever down yourself. You are doing what a lot of people wish they could do. Congrats on making a smart decision in your life. And don't worry about what others think of you...just do your thing.

I started on my degree back in 1986 at Jackson State University and my dream was deferred by my decision to start a family. Needless to say, I completed my degree this year, 19 years later. It was hard and disheartening to have that unfinished business so long, but thank God it came to pass. It's never too late and congratulations on pressing forward!
