Aiight from my profile it is obvious that I am a east coast northern girl! Now thanxs to Global warming, el nino and poluttion it does get pretty hot in the summer. However, the dirrty south and no AC are two things I've never had to experience b4! So any one who has advice for me or has the same worries as me please write!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx

Well, I didn't go as far south as your heading....but when I was a freshman I did go from Ohio to VA. It's a pretty fair difference in climate. To be honest, there's not much you can do to get ready for the heat if you're from up north (at least, that's how it was for me). Those first few weeks you're just gonna be sweating your behind off no matter what you do. The only suggestion I can make is to buy a big fan and learn how to sit as still as possible until you get used to the heat. But who knows, maybe you won't sweat but "glisten" instead. I suppose it all depends on how you look at the situation. Good luck to you.

ima jerzee girl who goes to school in alabama so i know exactly what ur talkin about....the weather change is very dramatic....my freshman year in feb. it was 86 degrees goin to a game and i was like at home itz still snowin and cold as hell but eventually ur body will adjust to the weather change cuz now when i come home im like oh hell naw i need to go back down south....i hope u enjoy the A
