15 minutes or more cannot replace any of the time you used reading this.. Welcome to the 1st edition of The Blogger. I plan to do a weekly blog/column on things that are going on right now. This blog/column will cover a variety of topics, from current trials to sports to Black topics to etc.

I must say, the Geico commercials get funnier and funnier. They actually got me on the Speed Racer one. I was thinking our FOX was showing a rerun of Speed Racer for the first time, but instead, it was Geico. The wrestling one almost had me. I thought it was an ad for NWA-TNA, though. Nice ones, Geico. 15 minutes or more can save you up to 15% on car insurance.

Sometimes, I wonder if Black women still have respect for themselves. 50 Cent makes me sick as an artist. Every video, he HAS to have skimpy dressed females. Now, I love lingerie on women as much as the next straight guy, but you don't advertise it out for the whole world to see. I live in a, per se, "hood," and I walked outside to see a female in, basically, some panties since they were too short to be called shorts. Now, there are children running around playing. Isn't this setting a bad example? Maybe it's just me...

Man...both of my teams are not doing so well. The Heat lost to the Pistons, but they won tonight, so it's 1-1. I'm already mad at Pheonix for dropping 2 straight against the dreaded Spurs. If the Spurs win the series, I'll be go beserk. I don't like the Spurs, even though I do like Manu Ginnobli. He's very skilled and plays with Steve Nash-like tendencies. I think the Suns will come back and win the series, but they'll have to upset the Spurs' playing tactics like they did to the Mavs in Game 6.

The Michael Jackson trial takes a new turn today. The defense rested as Chris Tucker gave his testimony. This has to be one of the most confusing cases I've witnessed. I don't know whether Mike did it or not. If he did, he's going to suffer alot from prison abuse. If he didn't, his career is shot alone from this trial. I think Mike will be acquitted. He said that if he is acquitted he wants to move to Africa to stray away from all of the stress in America. I don't blame him. Stressful environments can lead to disastrous consequences.

Anywho, I guess I'll end it for this week. I know it's short, but the next one will be longer. I'll try to post another one up before I hit the road...or should I say air...to Nashville on Wednesday.

Before I leave, I have to say RIP to the voice of Fred Flintstone, Henry Corden. You have entertained me for a many good years, and I will buy the season DVD when I get paid this summer. Make sure you stop by my page and drop a note of any comments...or hit the comment box up at the bottom. I'll try to respond to them all before Tuesday.

Big Ups, very informative, yet on a light note.

That was very informative and nicely written. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I sure do hate the Mavs lost, but we keep getting better and better. Maybe next year...

I'd like to see Shaq in the finals without Kobe. The Spurs would be nice, too. They are almost homeboys!

Have a good one!
