Tom Joyner School of the Month: July 2008

Dear Alumni and Friends of Coppin:
We are delighted to share with you the news that the Tom Joyner Foundation has selected our University the School of the Month for July 2008.

Each year, only 11 Historically Black Institutions are chosen to participate in this School of the Month fundraising campaign. This year marks the second time that Coppin has been selected as a Tom Joyner Foundation School of the Month; Coppin was given the opportunity in April 2004 and raised over $400,000 for student scholarships. Although the goal is to raise $300,000 this year, we will work hard to surpass this goal. Funds raised through this campaign will play an integral part in Coppin’s $15 million five-year Capital Campaign.

We are asking all members of the Coppin Family - alumni, students, faculty and staff - and members of the corporate and faith-based communities to make donations to the Tom Joyner Foundation in support of Coppin State University. You may make your donation today by clicking on the Donate Now link. If you have any questions or need additional information, feel free to contact the Division of Institutional Advancement at (410) 951-3800.

I would like to thank you in advance for your support of Coppin State University and of our efforts to assist our students in nurturing their potential and transforming their lives.

Sincerely,
Reginald S. Avery, Ph.D.
President
