DO YOUR JOB!

D. T. Williams · Friday, May 20th 2005 at 3:43PM · 297 views
To all my parents out there, if you have children...DO YOUR JOB!!! Stop sending them to school expecting the teachers to work a mirace with an illiterate blob of human flesh that is only good for quoting rap lyrics from the latest episode of 106 and Park. Stop working extra jobs to put the best of clothes on them and stay your butt at home and help them with their homework!!! My brothers and sisters we are fighting a war and the soldiers that are going to take our place are not going to be properly equipped unless WE equip them. Stop teaching to foolishly believe we live in a "perfect world". So what if everybody doesn't like you and you don't have the best of whatever? At least you have something! Children are to be raised, not just allowed to grow up. All you have to do to get older is keep waking up and going to bed. In order to mature, you have to learn from the daily experiences life sends your way!

I agree, but don't call these kids illiterate blobs of human flesh, thats not being very mature or sending the right message. Everyone needs to do better when it comes to OUR children, because it takes a village to raise a child. I think that society as a whole needs to evaluate the messages we are sending to children. For ex. a lot of people are telling children to get a good education so that they can one day drive a Benz and live in a large home, and shop at the finest stores. And it seems its not what you know, but how much money you make, your last name, or who you know. This has been evident in so many aspects of life. Just look at basketball, alot of players go straight to the NBA or only complete a few years of college, but thats okay to many because that person is going to be rich, right? When are we going to tell children that it is not important to drive a Benz, wear Gucci, or live in mansion. Rather it is important to have dental, medical, and life insurance and being able to provide for yourself and your family!
