The Club Cushions movement was started by Tondalaya Myrick for the empowerment and acceptance of women of size. An aspiring plus size model herself, she had a dream of starting something that would shed a new light on the term BBW. Tired of the negative s*xual connotations of the term and being overlooked by the fashion industry her vision was to develop a business, a brand, a state of mind where women are proud and confident of who they are and not what society says they should be.
