'The Ark of God"
1 Chronicles 15:1-3, 11-15

When David's first attempt to move the Ark failed (13;8-14), he learned an important lesson: When God gives specific instructions, it is wise to follow them precisely. This time David saw to it that the Levites carried the Ark (Numbers 4:5-15). We may not fully understand the reasons behind God's instructions, but we do know that his wisdom is complete and his judgment is infallible. The way to know God's instructions is to know His Word. But just as children do not understand the reasons for all their parents' instructions until they are older, we may not understand all of God's reasons in this life. It is far better to obey God first and then discover the reasons. We are never free to disobey God just because we don't understand.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"Reason itself is a matter of faith. It is an act of faith to assert that our thoughts have any relation to reality at all." - G. K. Chesterton

BLACK HISTORY TRIVIA

Congratulations to Stacy Bell, who was the first to submit yesterday's correct answer, "The Scottsboro Boys." Here is today's question: on this day in 1967, Carl Murphy passed away in Baltimore, MD. What influential work did he publish?

"The Afro-American", he became editor and publisher after his father passed away in 1922. "The Afro-American" became the a highly cirulating newspaper due to Mr. Carl Murphy's impeccable contribution. He did his work in honor of his father and should be commended for that. We need more black owned family businesses, like Jet and Ebony in which are headed by Linda Johnson. Her father was John Johnson and he started Ebony in the begining of the 20th century.
