Black Hisory month..WHY?

Al Walker · Monday, January 21st 2008 at 6:54PM · 217 views

Blacks have contributed more to this country than any other race from any other country in the world; for some reason, all we get is MLK Day and one month throughout the entire year. This country was built on the blood, sweat, & tears of African-Americans who got no recognition. Are we supposed to be satisfied? I think not. To me, we have only been "pacified." We have been told that slavery and racism are just things of the past, and we should just let it go.If we 4get the past, we are bound to repeat it. Why do we still celebrate Columbus Day. How did he discover a place that was already occupied. It was a "BLACK" man who was the navigator of the ship. Did he get any recognition? We celebrate Independence Day, while at the time, we were still slaves. The constitution wasn't written for us. If it is meant for us, why does our "Right To Vote" have an expiration date.
