When I wake up

When I wake up in the morning I thank God i'm still alive. I prepare myself for the long day ahead. I don't go trun on the T.V. or call my mother and tell her I love her and go to class. my life is different now and will be for a while. The things I treasured in a life i used to live are over for me as of the moment I prepare my mind for battle and my body for war and my soul to go Home if it's my day today. There's no ride i jump into and nobody i have to pick up to ride with no band practicing and no serority steppin'. My life is different cause when I wake up I just thank God I can go back to sleep. There are many in this place that i'm in who rest for eternity and those of us to just make it to see another day Thnak God. So when I wake up you better believe that I'm thankin God for that.
