"Their Separate Ways"
Genesis 33:12-15
Unlike forgiveness, which can be a singular act, reconciliation mostly involves two or more people talking to each other, and so it is not easy to achieve. Rather, it is among the most emotionally difficult things people are ever called on to do. Reconciliation is designed to lead individuals to change the way they think about their circumstances. Sibilings have to forgive one another, wives have to forgive husbands (and vice versa), victims have to forgive oppressors, and the perpetrators of crimes have to admit their guilt. As part of your devotional time this week, set aside at least 30 minutes for prayer and reflection concerning how you might forgive and be reconciled with an estranged family member, friend, or situation.
