HBCU Families
I am really concerned I googled college campuses offering family housing. Where are the hbcus? Why don't we have a support system for our families trying to get their education and better themselves?

There's a possibility that your campus offers housing assistance for families, but it is not advertised well. You should ask your Residence Life / Student Affairs office if they can provide information about your housing options.
Some campuses have a support system for commuter students like that of on-campus students; others simply maintain a database of apartments and homes available for rent in the area.
