I have found in my life time that what I want and need in my life is a strong and positive black man. I have found that education does not make the man nor the woman we are who we make ourselves to be. You can find money and power in the stranges places but a real man a real black man is a jewel and should be treated that way. So not I would not date outside my race.
I am married now, but if I were dating I could not date outside my race. I love everything about black women and I know I could not find what I need outside my race. However, I currently have several friends who date outside their race and they appear to be very happy. I am not knocking their hustle. I am just saying: it is not for me.
Re: Would You Date Someone Outside Your Race?
I would not date someone outside my race, because we have such a variety of men. You name a flavor and we have it (white chocolate to a dark special). I believe that I can find the qualities that I am looking for in a man in our race. If someone else chooses to do so, then go for it but don't be the type of person who is embarrassed to be seen with the person that you have chosen. I love our black men and have never had a problem loving one.
I would not and have never dated outside of my race, because there is no woman out there that can hold a candle to a Black Queen. It's hurtful to hear so many black women these days joyfully, put down so many black men and whom seem like they can't wait date someone other than a black man. This is one of the many slave mentalities that many of us refuse to admit to (To love yours and hate mine.), that excuse that there are not enough eligible black men is utterly ridiculous. Unfortunately if you listen to the qualities that these women are looking for is purely and solely based on status. While at the same time if a successful black man, especially one who is more than financially stable looks to date outside of his race, these same women will criticize him for his choice. All races have their bad seeds and to say that the black race has more than other is once again ridiculous and anyone who feels this way needs to look in the mirror at their own self hate and imperfections. That is the first step to rebuilding the black race, it is in UNITY we are powerful, divided as we currently are, will only continue to downfall of the black race.
Never say never, but as long as there are good black men (light, brown, dark) I'm good with my own race. Sorry to say, there is someone single or getting divorce and there is always someone to date, not screw and there is a difference.
I feel every race has their issues. And there are several good black men.
I LOVE black men and but I do believe that one should find out for him or herself whom they prefer. I have to believe in interracial dating otherwise I wouldn't exist. There is no pure race.... but a good educated, mature, black man with his affairs in order is hard to find. I do know that they are out there though.
i am married to an arab and i am a african american and older than my muslim arab husband
i was with my black man, but the few i dated never treat me right. this muslin treat me a the queen i am
I believe that God intended our love among each other to be Universal love.
I agree that God intended for our love to be universal and not based on ethnicity. God loves us just because He is love so why do we do the opposite of Our Father who doesn't discriminate. God doesn't discriminate so why do we do the opposite; Our church services are the true evidence that we discriminate.
I do believe we are all gods people but as a blackman i need a black women. For the proper knowlege of self in our black children will elevate our people as a whole. Cats dont bark. To any Blackman or women this should be clearly logic.
Yes and I have. My husband and I dated for four years and have been married for 22 years. I would advise anyone who is even thinking about dating outside of their race to make sure they talk about it openly and honestly. Don't assume that because you love each other that the world, your friends or your family will accept the relationship. They don't have to. If they do they do. If they don't they don't its their choice. My husband is from South Carolina and I am from Mississippi. We met in Alaska. As funny as it may seem I dreamed about him before I met him. After we started dating we talked about all the racism and prejudices we might go through. And given the fact that we were both from the south it would have been ridiculous of us to marry if we had not addressed the racial issues we might face. We didn't go into this relationship or this marriage blindsighted nor were our kids raised blind-sighted. We knew we would get negative reactions from all sides and decided that we loved each other enough to handle it. Dating and subsequently marrying outside of our race was a good decision for us. We didn't marry the world we married each other for better or worse.
I would not date outside my race. Only reason is ... I have no other attraction for any other race except my black men. I'm not racist. I just have no attraction.
The fact that life has shaped our race in such a way that non other could experience or have the revelation of causes a need in me that only a Man of African decent could fill. There is no other such man of passion that is embedded deep in the very spirit of the man even though he himself in many cases does not reconize it. I love His Walk, His Talk, His Mind, His Scent, His Attitude, His Heritage. Pray for our Men...They are the first fruits of the planet and still operate as if they were the last. There is non other like that Black Man...No not one.......
Black women's choice are horribly limited due to some many men in jail, prison, etc. I think a woman would be stupid not to look at all her options if she wants to have a lifelong makte.

As Im going through the stages of womanhood and higher-learning experiences, I dont find it a problem dating outside my race. However, I would prefer an experienced and well-developed black man. I believe the reason why some black women tend to date men outside thier race is because there is a shortage of black successful and developed men in society today. Most have already lost themselves to jail, drugs, violence, and burial grounds.
