Okay, So i live on the West Coast, Born and Raised in Oakland, California... Im sure many of you have heard of the hyphy movement and all that is cool... but i have a future to plan and that might include a move to the south. I want to pledge first off and over here in Cali, I've heard that you dont get the true essence of what the sisterhood is supposed to be about! And to really get involved with the letters you need to be in South...California is the MOST diverse state in the US and i really want to experience MY culture, to be surrounded by young black men and women who all have the goal of being successful. I jus recently moved to Sacramento, CA... which is about 90 miles North of Oakland. i moved about 8 months ago and im jus now warming up to Sac, with that said i cant really imagine how i would feel about a move to another state (in the South, nonetheless). I wouldn't be moving for another year, but i still need to start planning my next move now. I also need advice and your input... So please hit me back....

I got cha. I live in Oakland CA and I am movin all away to D.C. to attend Howard in the fall. Im feelin u no doubt. Im scared as hell but it is somethin new we CALI gurls ain't use to, so it is going to be scary but know that u going to make somethin of urself, not like some people out here where their life consists of hanging on the corner and females are only good for s*x. That ain't the life 4 u. Go to the south and remember when you get down there go to class somtime, dont party all nite and dont have time 4 class. Bad combination
