In remembrance of Naomi Jackson... your name will be forever missed & never forgotten

On February 27, 2006 a young, innocent life was lost but never forgotten. After a long, torturing battle with MENINGITIS and recently slipping into a coma, Naomi Jackson journeyed on to live with our Father in Heaven. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a grandaughter, a cousin, and above all, an angel of God. She leaves behind a grieving mother, brothers, sister, child and family and friends whom will all miss her dearly. She is remembered for her vibrant & energetic spirit, her compassionate heart, and her love for family and friends. She will be missed a great deal and loved even more. Though we mourne her tragic death and find ourselves struggling to keep our eyes dry, we must be thankful that her enduring suffering has come to an end and she no longer has to suffer the evils of this world. The purpose of this document is not only to bring to attention her untimely death, but also to focus on the importance of "LIFE" and the most and least important things in our day to day existence that we often take for granted. I thank God that I was granted a few final moments to touch her dying hand and speak into her dying ear " I love you" before her departure. Though she could not hear my words nor feel my touch, it acted as some kind of closure for me, having not spoken to her since before my son's birth, over 6 months ago. On top of this, I've come to the realization that it sometimes takes tragic, life altering events to bring to light what's really important, and in my family's circumstance, bring family close together. For at the hospital, in two days I have seen family members whom I haven't seen in years, if not a decade or more, and probably would have never seen again. It is at times such as these that our patience, faith and durability is put to the test, and it is such love, support and an adhesive bond that helps one another get thru the rough times. I want to take this time to tell you that tomorrow is not guaranteed, nor is the next hour. Just last week, my young cousin was able to rock her son to sleep and tell her mother "I love you"... as of Wed. February, 27, 2006 she can no longer do either... life is far too short to bicker and comlain over what we don't have yet & what we deserve to have but have yet to receive... there's not enough money in the world to place more focus and emphasis on "monetary gain" rather than human life. Be grateful for opening your eyes this morning, be thankful that you have a home to go home to everynite, be thankful for everything that defines you and has built your character over the years for anything else will be left here when your time is called. I will not let Naomi Jackson's name go in vain, hence this document. This is a cry to all who will listen, that we hold dear to our hearts all that is good and bad in this world, hold close to your hearts all who are important in your life and even those you don't know, and forever keep in your hearts the names and spirits of those dead and gone, may they be REMEMBERED & NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!
