An Affair with the Arts features the musical "Sistas Can Sa-a-ng," a thoughtful and entertaining tribute to some of the great female jazz and blues vocalists of past years. The show takes place in an imaginary Museum of Black Women of Jazz where theatrically, female singing legends Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, Gloria Lynne, Sarah Vaughn, and Nancy Wilson, come alive in spirit and perform. This event marks the show's Atlanta debut after rave reviews in the Washington, D.C. area. Additionally, MRAC will host a "Visual Arts Showcase" featuring art work of high school students and artists.
*The musical pays tribute to: Nancy Wilson/Dinah Washington/Billie Holiday/Sarah Vaughn/Gloria Lynne of Jazz and Blues presented by Marietta-Roswell Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Proceeds benefit our scholarship and community outreach activities.*
