What's Love?

Elizabeth Pollard · Saturday, December 9th 2006 at 8:50AM · 495 views
Love is not s*x, love is choosing to heal the past hurts & pain of your mate. Depending on their past, you may have a lot of work to do. And love is helping your mate pursue their interests and talents. Notice, that love is all about the other person. When its balanced, you will make sure they get what they need and they will make sure you get what you need. If either person fails, then each person becomes selfish to meet their own needs and then love fails.

Wow, I don't know too much about this topic, but it sounds difficult and not like fun. What's the good part? What can YOU expect from the deal?

What's the difference between being in love and just loving people?

I think the good part about being in love is see that you and your partners needs and wants are both getting met and that there's an understanding that they are there for each other until the end. Being in love all your needs are being fulfilled being mind, body and soul... Having someone who complements you in everyway. There's a bond there that no one can break.

OK if it really work that way, that sounds appealing. Folks scare me, putting up with crazy stuff talking about in love.... When you don't know any better you think, "I sure don't want to catch what they have!"

Good post. I like the way you define LOVE. My boyfriend and I have been together for 11 months and all of those characteristics are falling into place. It took some time for those things to come, but Elizabeth your definition is very pain & simple. Alot of people think of different things when they define LOVE or LUST!
