What would you do?

Has Anyone ever been through this same situation i mean i really needs some guidence on it cause this could ruin my friendship. My best friend likes this boy. Im really close to this boy like i can sit and talk to this boy about everything being hurt in relationships and stuff like that. I think of him as a a brother and another one of my best friends just in male form. But the only problem is, that when im talking to the boy like i usually do and my best friend is around with some other people, they start saying how me and this boy make a good couple that we should go out, you know, that we would probably last longer than other couples that kind of stuff. They say this in front of her so it makes me look like im trying to get with dude, you know like i got something for him. Thats not the deal at all though. I mean he is really cool and i can chill with him but i dont want my friend to think that im trying to get with him cause im not, i mean not even close. I mean what should i do? What would you do?
