I completely understand where ya'll are coming from. Those cheap jeans won't fit. I really can't find any dresses to fit me right because at the top, I wear a SMALL and the bottom is a 13. Like you said, it's very beautiful but it's hard to find clothes that fit right. The main thing I wear is Baby Phat and ****ies.
Girl, I go through the same thing. My waist is a 29 and my hips are a 46. Nothing ever fits and anything nice, I have to throw on a belt. However, Baby Phat is good. Only if you are tall. I'm 5'3 so I have big cuffs at the leg. Apple Bottoms work too but at 75 a pair, you can be hesitant...especially in college.
I thought I was the only one with this problem. I have an hour glass shape and nothing fits me around my hips and waist with out a belt. I love wearing jeans but hate shopping for them because they are not made with black women in mind. What pisses me off more is that we are the biggest consumers of these products that they do not make to fit our needs. Even Baby Phat and J-Lo make their clothes for the tall model type. I'm only 5'3 so that doesn't help me either!! What am I to do?

You are right, some times it is hard for some african american women to find jeans that fit our curves. Some of the jeans that fit me well are apple bottoms, lei, mudd, and south pole. My hips and butt seem to be my problem, and i'm only a 9/10 in pants.
