You're What?!
A while ago, I was asked out on a date with a man whom I had once respected. After some pondering whether I should bother to go on the date with him because I didn’t think I really wanted to date anyone at that time, I accepted his invitation.
Everything seemed perfectly harmless and I was looking forward to seeing him again for a second date. Well, was I in for one of the most disappointing surprises of my dating life. After providing his name to someone as a man I found to be someone I’d date again, I was immediately informed that that man was MARRIED. MARRIED!
Still in a shocked state, I presented my, then, newfound information to him. He looked at me with one of the stupidest grins and said, “I thought you knew.” And, then to add “insult to injury,” he told me that I needed to grow up and realize what life was all about. What a shame his wife might not have known what life, his life, was really all about.

Hmmm ... I think the odds of that happening increase dramatically the older we get... Gotta start off any relationship with honesty and friendship... I wonder what his rationale was, as that is pretty unfortunate...
