Who is this New Black Man?

To everyone who know his history, it would seem he has come a long way from bondage. The shackles and chains are lost and the mark of the whip can no longer be found on his back. The new black man now wears a suit and tie, or perhaps baggy jeans and a long chain. Perhaps he is the successful business man earning that promotion at the new corporate business firm...perhaps he is the crime lord wreaking havoc in the ghettos where his people live...perhaps he is the middle class family man trying to make due with his meager earning from the 9 to 5. Yet who is he underneath? What is his great destiny within the scheme of this country? Has the new black man come as far as the great men and women of his past? I truly believe that he has lost ground. Yet as a society we misjudge the power of mental ignorance and mental slavery. That is the keenest problem with which this new black man is faced. He has been told in every way that the new society in which he lives if reformed. No longer will he be attacked by dogs in the streets, no longer will he be beaten for his peaceful attempts at integration. No,no,no, the nature of the beasts is all too different now. Instead he will be subjected to prejudically biased standardized test that will tell him he's too dumb to go to a place of higher learning, told that he can only make it in the world as a professional athlete or a rap superstar. He is given jewels and trinkets in order to deceive him into believing that he is rich while his whole family starves in the slums and crack houses of his "all-too-fabulous" ghetto. He makes all of his money and smiles in the face of his would-be-enemy while forgetting the deepest roots of his past. He would sell out his people to get ahead in a world that will always leave him far behind. In this regard, the black man today is worse off than the newly freed slaves in the after effects of Emancipation. How is this? Because this new black man has now lost his drive for true freedom. He has been most assuredly convinced that this country has given all it has to offer when it has truly lied in both his and his ancestors' face. Never has there been nor ever will there be a forty acres and a mule. This new black man is satiated with the images of riches, never fully possessing them or the seeming freedom that they bring. And all the while his seeming social peers pat him on the head and tell him that he's done well and he's at the top of his game. This new blackman is being hustled by the world's oldest hustler. He subjects his women to means of s*xual degradation that has only been experienced in the times of slavery. He lacks the knowledge of his great African heritage which allows him to leave his African brothers dying in disease while the enemy of his heart rapes his homeland. This new black man even forgets his struggling brothers and sisters that call to him for strength and guidance. Whether in suit and tie, platinum chain and jeans, or in chicken suit and top hat, this new black man is making a fool of himself in order to appease a society that would have him be the entertainment for yet another century...This is why the need for social revolutionaries is critical to the uplift of the black community. A social revolutionary is not born. The society and atmosphere experienced by such people makes them into global "changers". So by this time it would seem that we should have someone to cause this massive upheaval right? Look at what's happening in society: a senseless war (as being compared to the social and political events surrounding Vietnam), a natural disaster that was so badly mishandled that it can only be construed as a neglect of the poor and minority of Louisiana, and economic inflation that seems to undermine the people that actually provide the labor in this selfish capitalist country. The President literally spits in our face while our brothers and sisters are so politically unaware that we probably think the spittle is little more than light rain...So what is the answer? We must educate ourselves with true knowledge in order to become a working force. WE MUST GAIN INTERNATIONAL POWER, JUST AS MALCOLM X AND THE PANTHERS DID. WE MUST RE-INSTATE THE TEN POINT PROGRAM IN ORDER TO TAKE BACK WHAT IS OURS! WE MUST STOP THE BOOT OF TYRANNY THAT THREATENS TO CRUSH THE MASSES INTO LITTLE MORE THAN FINE DUST FOR THEIR OWN USE AND CONTROL.
